Let's talk about dialogue. How do you make it sound like real people talking and not get off the track? A real conversation involves a lot of irrelevancies. In writing, particularly for short stories you can't afford to get too far from the point.

Women starship captains were frequently walk-ons in the Star Trek universe, "Voyager" aside but there are plenty of other examples. Let's talk about the memorable ones and where we expect to see more women in the Captain's chair in the future.

Alas, we will in fact be reading at regular speeds and (presumably) without lounging. The "Lounge" part refers to the Literary Lounge on the 20 something floor of the Hotel Formerly Known as the Radisson South, occasionally also called the Sheraton South. But if envisioning us reading rapidly while lounging about makes you happy, please don't let me discourage yu. :-)
