CONvergence schedule (tentative)
Jun. 25th, 2006 11:46 amFri 8:00pm - 9:00pm A8
Lit Writing Craft: Dialogue
Let's talk about dialogue. How do you make it sound like real people talking and not get off the track? A real conversation involves a lot of irrelevancies. In writing, particularly for short stories you can't afford to get too far from the point.
Melanie Alderson, Andre Guirard, Catherine Lundoff, Sean Murphy, Steve Ruthenbeck
Sat 11:00am - 12:00pm A6
Lit Women as Starship Captains in Fiction, TV and Media
Women starship captains were frequently walk-ons in the Star Trek universe, "Voyager" aside but there are plenty of other examples. Let's talk about the memorable ones and where we expect to see more women in the Captain's chair in the future.
Hugh Gregory, Bridget Landry, Catherine Lundoff, G. David Nordley, David Weber
Sat 2:00pm - 3:00pm 2200
Lounge Broad Universe Rapid Fire Reading
Women reading rapidly.
Catherine Lundoff, Kathy Sullivan, Paula Fleming, Ruth Souter
