Odds and ends
Dec. 19th, 2007 07:45 pmFirst, I want to thank all the writers who I asked to do sizable rewrites on their stories for "Haunted Hearths" - you folks did a great job. Book's almost ready to go to the publisher for approval. I know some of you struggled more than others and I really appreciate it. Thank you! :-)
Apart from that, did anyone else out here read "Wicked: Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West"? If so, did you like it? I waded through it last week, more to get it cleared off my bookshelf than anything else. I also wanted to see what the fuss was about. I still have no idea. What a dull, angst-filled pointless slog of a book!
Also didn't love the new Buffy Season 8 graphic novel. Artwork's good, the idea's certainly appealing but the storylines are pretty chaotic and not that interesting. Big disappointment on that, seeing as I loved "Buffy" and Joss Whedon's previous comics foray, "Fray."
On the less disappointing end of things, am liking "The Tall Pine Polka" by Lorna Landvik, at least so far.
And the fever that I've had for the last couple of days appears to have finally cleared up. Huzzah!
