"Golden Compass" and Jonathan Coulton
Dec. 8th, 2007 10:56 amNow there's a combo you don't see much. "Golden Compass" is 2 hours of very, very shiny. Well worth seeing and in line with what I can remember from the book.
Coulton is a programmer turned singer songwriter and the man who gave the world "Code Monkey" and "Re: Your Brains". He's got a post up about the concert on his blog - if you look closely at the photo, you can see
elisem, Juan and me in the second row. http://www.jonathancoulton.com/
He puts on a great show. :-)

Date: 2007-12-14 03:41 pm (UTC)I thought the acting was really good, and I, too, liked the shiny. And they did a good job of making the Golden Monkey creepy as hell, just like it was in the book. *shudder*
