Give to the Max Day in MN and new podcast
Nov. 14th, 2013 11:36 amToday is Give to the Max Day in MN, something a huge number of nonprofits depend on for additional funding. You can donate any amount from $10 upward and it makes your favorite nonprofits eligible for matching funds, prizes and other good stuff. I generally try and prioritize nonprofits that we interact with a lot like the MN Center for Book Arts, Rain Taxi Reviews and the Twin Cities Daily Planet, plus grant-giving organizations like PFund, the MN Women's Foundation and Headwaters Foundation, but there's a bunch of great stuff out there: schools, animal conservations, small theaters, arts organization, LGBTQ, immigrants, women's organizations and almost anything else you can think of. If you can, try and donate to at least one organization today.
And, in news unrelated to the Give to the Max Day, I'm a guest on this week's Howl Out Cast, a podcast dedicated to all things werewolf. The host and I talked for over 2 hours so this is the edited version, more or less. It's very live and spontaneous and I haven't listened to all of it yet. If you're listening around other people, headphones are probably in order, just saying. :-)
