Went to John Rezmerski's reading at DreamHaven on Friday night, then went out with friends to Merlin's Rest. There were bagpipes (indoors) and we had a couple of folks along with hearing problems so the expedition was not as successful as we had hoped. But the food was good and we mostly had a good time. DreamHaven Books is having a closing party on the evening of 1/28 and Greg will be open sporadically, probably just Saturday afternoons and readings. Speaking of which, S.N. Arly will be reading on Wednesday, February 15th at 6:30 and I will be reading Wednesday, March 14 at 6:30PM.

Saturday was odds and ends, including some writing. I'm starting to get some early traction on the sequel to Silver Moon. I'm thinking it will be called Blood Moon and that there will be 3 books, though I'm still noodling on it. Any thoughts?

Saturday night, we celebrated Rebecca Marjesdatter's b-day at Peninsula with lots of yummy food, then back at our place for tea and kitties. Today involved some day job work, some cleaning and now, embarking on making
chicken curry, Persian carrots and naan for dinner with Michael and Sherry Merriam. There was also some awesomeness out on Twitter at the #FeministSF Twitterchat discussing recommendations for Heiresses of Russ 2012: Best Lesbian Speculative Fiction. Information about the new release and things we recommended are here.

My blog post on lesbian protagonists in science fiction and fantasy just went live for the Lesbian Fiction Appreciation Event. You can comment on the post to be entered in a drawing to win a signed copy of A Day at the Inn, A Night at the Palace and Other Stories. The winner will be chosen at random on 1/21, the last day of the event.
Huge thanks to K.T. Grant for organizing this!
