Things to start out a week

It's Fen of Color United Day, an event for increasing visibility and awareness of poc folks within sf/f/fandom and sfnal pro ranks, which strikes me as a fine and necessary idea. Check it out at community.livejournal.com/foc_u/. Allies are welcome too!
Done this weekend -
Will Alexander and I are nearly done with our class proposal for the Loft ( it will be a workshop on reading and presenting your work). More on that when there's more on that.
Got most of my presentation for The Loft open house on Thursday sketched out. I'm going in to do a plug for my class, "Inflagranti Delicto: Writing Good Sex Scenes." I'll be available to answer questions starting at 7:15 and will do a short presentation at 7:45.
Did much thinking about the next few sections of works in prog. Now to actually add words.
Lots of yard work.
Celebrated an engagement of sorts (see previous entry). :-)
Got more or less prepped for WisCon. Yay!
And lest I forget to mention this, my story "Arachne" was just accepted for Circlet Press' anthology Like a God's Kiss (due out in 2009, I believe).
Which helps greatly to kill the pain of getting shot down last week for the grant I was really hoping to get. Huzzah for the writing life with its many ups and downs.

Date: 2009-05-23 10:17 pm (UTC)I'd imagine it'll be a pretty good line up - they generally get some good things. I've been in a few of their print anthos, but this'll be the first of the ebooks.
