catherineldfAward-winning mystery/romance/lesbian lit author Lori Lake is offering a novel writing class, Pages On Fire: Novel Writing From Start to Finish.

She did mention she's got room for a few more folks so if you're in the Cities and need to get your novel jump-started (or started), this could be just the thing. Lori has lots of teaching experience as well as books under her belt so it'll definitely be worthwhile. For more info: Lori's website
Pledge drive time down at KFAI starts Saturday, April 11 so I'm signed up to answer phones. I do this 2 pledge drives a year and have for almost 10 years now. Why? Because KFAI is a community treasure. It has programming you quite literally won't hear anywhere else, covering an incredibly diverse range of international and national music and news, LGBT programming, poetry and almost anything else you can think of (and yes, there's webstreaming if you're not local). It's primarily volunteer-run and an amazing number of cool people come together to make a remarkable thing happen. It's right up there with the Mayday Parade for reasons for us to go on living here.
