Thanks for well wishes about the teeth. ;-)
As it happens, the whole trauma got postponed until tomorrow so I could spend the week on antibiotics in hopes of getting things more manageable. Mostly it just means I can't chew much. :-(
But I have high hopes of getting the whole mess resolved this week.

Hope everyone else is having a jolly holiday weekend or at least a restful one.
Mine's been productive - got the second encyclopedia article done and out the door and finished drafts of 2 more stories, both for the (eventually) forthcoming book. I'm hoping to spend today getting the last 4 as close to done as possible (2 more for the book, 2 for other people's collections). Then it's rewrites and such for the next while until things are ready to toddle out the door.

I actually got sleep this weekend, which has been a nice change. And got to spend Saturday night watching truly awful vampires movies with friends. All things considered, I'm not coming back as undead if a) I have to be indescribably dorky (see "The Vampire Happening" for examples) and b) Sex isn't fun (see "Vampiros Lesbos" for examples). A gal's gotta have some standards. :-)

That's what the gallon-sized ibuprofen is for. :-)
The teeth are beginning to be on the mend though and it went much faster than last time, which I'm really grateful for. Thanks for the sympathy!

Must brag about talented girlfriend since I'm posting. She just won a prize for "Best 'Pride and Prejudice'" in the One Book, Many Interpretations Binding Contest sponsored by the Chicago Public Library. Irony being that I'm the Janeite and she picked P&P because she figured we could have it around the house if it didn't win. As if! :-)

I almost forgot the other high point of the weekend. A friend dropped off a multi-CD set of great burlesque performances, most of which are quite dull. The exception has been Lily St. Cyr, mentioned in the ever popular Rocky Horror Picture Show. She was (not sure if she's still around) quite the performer if you can track down any of her performances. Very dynamic and quite hot, actually.
