somewhat inadequate in addition to cranky. Just came in from talking to one of our older neighbors. She's off to Morocco with some women she met online to ride camels and travel, then swing through Portugal to hang out with some old friends. Why? Well, she's "not getting any younger"  and has always wanted to ride a camel. I hope it's fabulous, even though I am a tad jealous. :-)

Now I have "Midnight at the Oasis" in my head. Someday I hope to go to Portugal and Southern Spain. My concept of traveling now before my paranoia gets worse is working somewhat well although it's not a financially sound move. At all.

There's a lot to be said for doing things before the back, knees, whatever, let you down. Wish I'd done more of them (although I still have a long list of possibilities). I don't envy the camel part, though.

I think it was more of "Hey, I've got a ticket to Marrakesh. Anyone else going to be there at the same time?" sort of deals.
