Edith Wharton books? Do I even want to know what list Myspace is putting my cookies on? At least I've got decent taste. :-)

In other news, I just got word that I will in fact be offering a writing workshop at The Loft Literary Center this summer. The summer schedule isn't finalized yet but it's tentatively set for Saturday, July 18 from 1 to 5. The subject: writing good sex scenes, what else?
I have mild stage fright what with the Loft being the writing be all and end all in these parts but I'm pretty excited about taking on a new challenge. Teaching there has been one of my goals since i moved here.

Actual writing this week: 2 whole chapters of menopausal werewolfy goodness (or so we hope) on the page, well, screen anyway, as well as bits of other things.

Cultural events:
Saw "Milk" last week and thought it was quite good. I particularly liked how they really caught the time period. And Sean Penn is pretty amazing..
Saw Rokia Traore on Friday at the Cedar. Rokia is really terrific singer and performer from Mali and the show was amazing. Her songs were quite powerful and her backup band was very, very good. :-)

Now off to go finish the taxes.

Do you know how much your workshop will be?

The Loft actually sets the rate and it looks like it's generally around $52-58 for other four hour workshops so I'm guessing it'll be around this amount, maybe a bit more. I'll definitely let you know when I find out, if you're interested.
