Upcoming events and other things

It's been a migraine day so I'm just getting vertical and functioning now. Bleah. It's a tossup on whether pain or the exhaustion is worse. :-(
Did just get happy news about my job sitch today: apparently the client is happy with me and wants to keep me a few more months, which makes life much easier. :-)
Before I forget, my pal Donna George Storey, author of the fabulous (and I mean this) erotic novel, The Amorous Woman, has a new ongoing column on writerly self-promotion out at the Erotica Readers and Writers Association. Believe me, you want this woman's insights on promo - she's very, very good at it.
And now the events.
February 14th, 6PM, True Colors Bookstore (the bookstore formerly known as Amazon Feminist Bookstore Co-op) in Minneapolis, 4755 Chicago Ave. So. Kick off your Valentine's Day with erotic readings by yours truly and the terrific Nell Stark, who's coming in from sunny, warm Madison just for this. I'll be reading from Night's Kiss and Nell will be reading from current and forthcoming works.
March 1st, 7PM - The Smitten Kitten in Minneapolis, 3010 Lyndale Ave. So. I'll be reading from Night's Kiss and Crave at the Minneapple's beloved sex toy emporium and bookstore. I think there'll be an open mike afterward - or we can add one if there's enough interest.
Sometime after Feb. 22 (I'm not sure when this will go live but we're recording on the 22nd), I'll be on the talented and hard-working Morven Westfield's podcast, "Vampires, Witches and Geeks" - http://morvenwestfield.podbean.com/.

I'm sorry to hear about your migraine. Hope you get feeling better soon!
I often wonder if there's a correlation between writers and migraines....

Date: 2009-02-07 08:13 pm (UTC)I don't know how frequent they are out your way but out here, they're very common. Something about those big ghastly weather fronts galloping across the plains. :-(
Thanks for the well wishes!
