Okay, so I'm in like .002% of the population. I didn't have a bad year, except for the stressing about the impact of the collapse of Western Civilization on loved ones, friends, jobs and beloved cultural institutions part. And not getting enough writing done.
On the whole, I feel very lucky. I'm grateful for all the new friends made this year as well as the old friends still in our lives. My mom's hip replacement went pretty well so she's feeling a lot more chipper. My 'officially registered domestic partner' and I are still going strong as of this moment (as far as I know) and the cat's still alive and bouncing around, which is pretty much miraculous and I had a job when I left work today and may have one on Friday.
Now hopefully all of this applies to all of you in 2009 (and to be selfish, continues to apply to us).
Thanks for everything and happy new year!

Date: 2009-01-01 05:03 am (UTC)'08 was a little rough for me, but I still have a job.
And there were a few highlights.
