Useful things...
Aug. 12th, 2008 08:22 pmalmost done with new story to submit to nice new editor who sends wistful emails about probable arrival of said story. Am not late yet. All good. Have not actually told her topic of hoped for story. She said "urban," I heard "foreclosure erotica." I suspect it's a first.
Need to then overhaul some other stories in need of rewrite and get them out the door. Plus cleaning up Night's Kiss and getting it off to Lethe with a new story or two in it.
Then it's work my little fingers to the bone pulling together more of a novel in prog than I have right now for the Donald Maas workshop in late September.
In the totally unrelated to writing parts of my life, getting an early start on the Eat Local Challenge (http://eatlocalatthewedge.blogspot.com/2007/08/sweet-home.html). Between breakfast, lunch and dinner today: locally (Wisconsin) produced organic soy milk, locally raised turkey (free range and organic), as well as local zucchini, Wisconsin goat cheese and bread from St. Agnes Bakery in St. Paul. And organic watermelon from southeast MN + locally grown organic salad greens. Not up to 80% but working on it.
