This should come as a complete surprise... :-)

Jane Austen quiz results

You are Eliza Bennett from Pride and Prejudice! Yay, you! Perhaps the brightest and best character in all of English literature, you are intelligent, lively, lovely-- in short, you are the best of company. Your only foibles are that you stick with your first impressions... and your family is quite intolerable.

Hmm. I got Mr. Darcy. I do like the last part of the description though: You are Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice. You're pretty arrogant, but that pride stems from the deep-seated knowledge that you are generally the most superior creature in any given room. The good news is that you are deeply loyal to your family, and you have a generous and charitable streak, even though most people don't notice because you are too busy practicing a large vocabulary of stern looks.

I'm off to practice my stern looks ::glower::

Darcy? Did we miss this dire part of your personality in Madison? :-)

Sigh. More practice of the stern looks is in order.

Hmm, apparently I'm Emma. Charming. Generous. Meddlesome?!? I did really like the story and the movie Clueless, and I wish I could be a good Cupid, but alack, I have no match-making prowess.

Neither did she. :-)
How's life down your way?

Doing okay so far. About to head into the high season for hurricanes so we're keeping our fingers crossed. Wrote a couple stories this summer, and I need to finish one more. Thinking about giving up erotica for more mainstream writing. Erotica has been more rewarding, but I don't think that's what I want to base my career on. Not that I'm writing enough to consider it a career. Blah. I'm a bum. I think I'm better as a beta reader than as a writer. Maybe that's what I should do. How are you?

Oh, I'm good. Disgustingly pleased with myself even (see most recent post for why) :-D.
Personally, I think once you have a book out, you're really a writer. Honest. :-)

Hmm, I have two short stories in real books and two "e-books" (really short stories), but I don't have a book of my own. Do I still count as a writer?

I'll have to go look at your most recent post. :-)
