The lovely seasonal climate of course! Right now, we not only have sleet and snizzle, we have thunder and lightning at the same time. And maybe 6 inches of snow by morning. Sigh.
And, I sympathize. Seattle's been schizophrenic for over a month now. One minute it's raining, then suddenly fog rolls in, it stops raining, sun comes out and burns off the top layer of fog, and before you know it there's hail! Then back to sun. I've given up trying to plan how many layers I need to take to work with me each day.
At least the temperatures are staying consistently above 40. This gives me hope.
I do not envy you your snow :( Good luck to you and yours, stay strong :-)
"Snizzle" is the local term for a combination of snow and little bits of sleet. They got words for every kind of winter precipitation you can think of out this way. And we didn't get really pounded on; it mostly went north. Must've been the good wishes. :-)
In May I'll experience the weather in Wisconsin, along with you. Hope it's not snowing then. :~( I got funding approval for my trip to WisCon, already have my flights & hotel booked.
Huzzah! :-D Connie W. is rooming with us and I can introduce you to several of the other authors who will be attending, including the fabulous M.E. Cooper from Ottawa (out here as lj user 'mecooper.' Stop by and say hi). You will know many, many others.:-) It is absolutely guaranteed to rain; it rains every WisCon. Not constantly but enough. It will range from mild to colder than mild. Shouldn't be any snow.
