I took a "Financing Your Side Hustle" class with WomenVenture this morning and learned a bit more about various funding options and related info for small business. It wasn't new information, for the most part, but it was lovely to spend a couple of hours just focused on the business side of Queen of Swords Press, making plans and talking about possibilities. Amongst other things, I'm going to be reviving my Patreon and repurposing it for Queen of Swords. I can't maintain it for two different projects and I do need both consistent funding and to separate QoSP's finances from my day job as much as possible. Then I need to look at the possibility of crowdfunding the next anthology. And then some options for grants. Fun times ahead!

At any rate, I emerged from the workshop energized and focused. Then got home logged into the day job stuff and got immediately clobbered with job stress (apparently it will once again be our faults if one of our staggeringly inept vendors screws up and we will have to somehow address that with less than half the people and endless budget cuts). Then there were yet more issues with a panel I'm supposed to moderate at an upcoming event. Then my office chair broke into many pieces, while I was sitting on it. And the squirrels ate my tomatoes. Spoiler alert: I am no longer energized and focused. But I did get some stuff done tonight so I feel somewhat less overwhelmed. Sigh. More stuff soon.

The office chair and the tomato-eating squirrels are the outside of enough. I hope you weren't hurt. I am told that providing a water source for squirrels will prevent them from eating your tomatoes, but I am highly dubious, because squirrels.
