I once again have to tell someone that writing a story for a ghost/haunted house antho actually involves writing about dead things. Not a concept I thought I'd have to explain a lot. But there we have it.

But the whole concept of haunting involves dead things that are in some sense still alive. If they were really dead (inactive, like a dead mouse offered to you by a proud cat), they wouldn't inspire stories! But writers should know this. See my post.
