We've all seen the pictures; here are some ways to help:
This looks like a great list -  Global Voices

Author Patrick Ness and a growing group of UK and US YA and MG authors are doing a massive fund drive for Save the Children UK

Icelandic author Bryndis Bjorgvinsdottir  put out a call for Icelanders willing to house refugees and where possible, pay for their airfare. Over 10k people responded. That inspired similar calls in Scotland and Germany.

Here in the U.S., the International Refugee Committee is pushing the Federal Government to take in more refugees while providing help on the ground and at sea.

And finally, Muslim refugees are converting in droves to Christianity to prevent deportation. They should never have to do this and should be protected under international law as what they are: refugees fleeing civil war, not "migrants." Please support initiatives that support them in their right to worship or not worship as they choose.

Added, new: this is great list of practical ways to help refugees resettle in the U.S. - https://storify.com/AthertonKD/how-to-help-refugees-settle-in-the-united-states#publicize

And a great list from NPR, specifically for Syrian refugees - http://www.pri.org/stories/2015-09-03/5-groups-doing-important-work-help-refugees-you-may-not-have-heard
