This being what things feel like this week. This last weekend included having a friend over for dinner, a wirework class and a Maker's Fair at the American Swedish Institute and attending a collaborative project between the Third Place Gallery and the St. Paul Ballet. This last, called "Ballet on the Block," featured dancers and musicians walking (in toe shoes! in the sweltering heat) from street corner to street corner in South Minneapolis, pausing to  improve and dance and talk to a milling parade of folks numbering about a 100 or so. The St. Paul Ballet dancers are serious troopers and did a grand job as ambassadors of ballet. We had a decent time until my knee went out (car accident knee has bad weeks) and we had to limp back home. Sunday included a pleasant visit with Mom, errands and work on projects, though not as much as I planned.

Note: I NEVER get as much work as I planned done, of late.

So what am I doing? I've got novel edits for two novels back and am working on the first set. day job stuff. More or less Sekrit Project Stuff. Writing a new story, Reading, Thinking about yet another project that I'm supposed to be considering. More or less prepping for Diversicon this weekend. Speaking of which, come hear Ytasha Womack talk about Aforfuturism and her work at DreamHaven on Thursday night at 6:30!  And come hear more about her work this weekend.

And in unrelated to above news, we paid someone to clean our house last week. And it was glorious. He did a great job and we are reveling in the clean at the moment.
