Which possibly doesn't justify the exclamation mark, but what the hell. I'm coming off a nice, relatively relaxing weekend (except for the Friday night insomnia and the Sunday night migraine, of course) that included a picnic and catching part of a dance performance at the Lake Harriet Rose Garden on Friday with Jana. Saturday was a Mom visit, plus a trip to the Swedish Institute and a nice, relaxing evening hosting our buddy Matt for dinner and Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. Sunday, we were up early to go blueberry picking at Rush River Produce outside Maiden Rock, Wisconsin (early was good since we got somewhat lost, despite having been there before). We picked about 5 pounds of blueberries (to be frozen, canned, etc.), then went to the fabulous Smiling Pelican Bakeshop in Maiden Rock. Post lunch took us next door to Cultural Cloth, which a fabulous fair trade shop that specializes in fabric woven by women artisans (new napkins and earrings acquired), the new gardening store, Green Goddess, where we acquired a sun hat for Jana and two milkweed plants to (hopefully - third time's the charm!) build our yard's scant Monarch population, and Secret Heart Gallery, which is always fabulous. From there, we were off to Stockholm, WI, where we wandered around for a bit and ate terrific pie at the Stockholm Pie Company. Then, we took a longish, circuitous route home, where my budding migraine budded into full flower, so I spent the evening with kitties and reading Lois McMaster Bujold.

And another piece of fabulous Jana news - she just had a book sell from a bookbinding show in San Francisco!. Thomas Jefferson's Paris Walks is headed for a new home. :-)

So, no writing and not much productivity. But I have finished almost everything that was floating around and am getting back to work. Medusa's Touch is back from the editor so I need to get working on that, and Silver Moon has just gone out to the same editor for some polishing. I've got a couple of short stories in progress. And I got a lovely thing that I can't show off yet, but which is a key element to getting Sekrit Project off the ground. Progress! lots of progress! next up, edits, Sekrit Project work and signing up for next year's cons.
