I'm a disaster at blogging lately, but I will have an interesting guest in soon:  Margrét Helgadóttir, one of the editors of European Monsters, which looks like fun.

Speaking of fun, my Pozible fundraiser copy of Cranky Ladies of History, edited by Tehani Wessely  and Tansy Roberts turned up the other day, and it looks terrific. You can follow the link to get your very own copy. And speaking of nifty fundraisers, I picked up one of the buy 1/donate 1 options for the Notable Women in Computing Playing Card Deck, which is terrific. So terrific, in fact, that I just preordered the buy 1/donate 1 deck of Techwomen Emerging Leaders in the Middle East and Africa (the guys in the picture at the top are from a computer training program in Jordan that's a supporter of the project). The donated decks get sent to classrooms and programs all around the world training girls and women in  computing and related fields. There are posters, too, plus some intriguing projects in the works on women tech leaders in Latin America and other parts of the world. Cool stuff!

In the meantime, I've weathered a minor car accident (no big damage to either vehicle or passengers, fortunately), multiple migraines, some electrical work to the house and a bunch of writing. Emily (pseudonymous Me) had a reprint accepted and Regular me got the very nice news that my story "Regency Masquerade," will soon be one of the fun gifts you can get when you order from Bingley's Teas. Bingley's is a Twin Cities based tea company, run by my friend Julia, who is another Austen enthusiast. She's been traveling all over the world for the past couple of years getting trained in tea tasting and building relationships with tea farmers. Her blends are very good - we serve them when we have tea parties and her boxed sets make terrific gifts, with or without stories by me. I'll do an update when my story's available (it will be on a beribboned scroll, no less :-).

In the meantime, it's a rough winter out there on many, many levels. Take as good a care of yourselves as you can and hang in there.
