2015 so far...

 Has included:

• A jolly afternoon at the ER with my mom, sent there after she fell as a result of the fever that accompanied the flu that she acquired.
• Mom is fortunately not hurt but now I have some species of crud that *might* be flu 
• Hospital discharged Mom on Sunday on rather short notice, accessible cabs canceled on us (something about available drivers and the flu, probably), and I was too sick to participate, not  to mention being barred from Mom's building due to possible flu (are you sensing a theme here?). So Jana was the hero of the day and retrieved Mom and wrangled staff at assisted living. 
• Plumber came by today to tell us our semi new water heater is hosed 
• I have 3 stories in progress
• Agent Carter is pretty cool
• "Penny Dreadful" is interesting
• I'm here doing day jobbery, after 9 hours or so and still have crud and all I want in the world is for these damn reports to finish so I can analyze the data. Sigh.

Oh, I could see Penny Dreadful as good "I'm so sick I can't think" fodder. I think my wife's mistake was watching while NOT sick. :}

(Our gold standard for judging how sick we are is asking, "Would Fushigi Yuugi be something I want to watch right now?" If the answer is yes, it's time to call the doctor. Or at least aggressively push fluids and Tylenol.)

I don't know that particular anime but will look it up. :-)
I've seen 2 eps of PD so far, so my opinion on that may vary soon.

Fushigi Yuugi is an old reverse-harem anime (female center, surrounded by bishonen) full of aannnnnngst and pretty boys. It also has no redeeming qualities except for brain-smoothing.

If you haven't seen it yet, a more pleasant brain-smoothing anime is Bodacious Space Pirates. :)

The later definitely sounds like my speed! :-) I don't wasth much anime unless specifically recommended to me so I'll have to see if I can track that one down.
