Sundry signal boosts and an upcoming event
May. 6th, 2014 10:06 amFirst, the signal boosts:
Only 6 days and $203 to fund the War for the Oaks Reader! This is a book of photos of Twin Cities writers and fans reading the classic urban fantasy by Emma Bull near landmarks from the book. I have a vested interest because this is the book that made me want to move to Minneapolis. Also, friends of mine are in it and involved with producing it and it's a cool project. :-)
And on a more serious note:
Longtime Twin Cities fan and RenFest performer, Seven, needs help getting back on her feet after a number of setbacks. She needs a place to stay with her cats as well as $, which can be sent to seven(at)itasca.net. Contact her on Facebook if you have living options. She's got about a week before she has to move.
And:
Paranormal book reviewer and book blogger Rachel Smith of Bitten by Books and her hubby need to move back to Seattle for work and health reasons. The same health and work reasons mean that they need to raise the funds to make the move - they've got 22 days to raise another $5000.
As always, please boost and contribute what you can. Thanks!
Event:
I'll be participating in a Virtual Living Room Spot-On Chat with MN Authors, May 9-12. VLR is a closed Yahoo Group which focuses on discussing lesbian literature. Participants for this one include Jessie Chandler, Lori L. Lake, Rachel Gold, Catherine Friend, Ellen Hart, M.B. Panichi and me. Should be entertaining - sign up for the group to attend and ask questions.
