Interesting things going on this week which are not family-related

In no particular order:

• Am fretting about whether or not to leave for the SE Wisconsin Festival O' Books on Friday after work or first thing Saturday morning (it's a 5 + hour drive for those wondering). Probably leaving after work and sleeping in scenic Eau Claire, about 2 hours away, since cunning plan to wait til the last minute, then ask friends along the way if I could sleep at their house did not work out.
• Was asked to do an erotica writing column yesterday and think I will have to turn it down as a. not writing much erotica right now and b. no time to breathe, let alone put a reasonable effort into a new project.
• Writing, several thousand words of it this week on both Blood Moon and the sf novel. I'm also working on an outline on Blood Moon since that does indeed seem to be making things zippier on the sf novel.
• Looking forward to the Waukesha trip and hoping I don't get bad news about either the book proposal I officially have out or the one I unofficially have out, at least not until after the panel. Been clobbered with a few poorly timed rejections of late and could do with some good writing news.
