Weekend update
Feb. 10th, 2013 02:36 pmJana's reception went beautifully - it was well-attended and she had a marvelous time and delivered a well-received talk. I'm very proud of her. :-D
Her shows will be up at the Open Book and at Carleton until around 2/24. Next stop: St. Paul Public Library.
Went to the eye doctor yesterday and it turns out the shift in my vision isn't as bad as I thought. My old glasses were breaking in slow motion for awhile (cracked ear piece) and I was compensating for them. New glasses are en route to replace them and new insurance has been most helpful.
Spent a fair amount of yesterday either recovering from a migraine, talking about Jana's books or reading Rachel Pollack, preparatory for this afternoon's, ta da!, interview with same. Rachel Pollack, World Fantasy Award winner, world-renowned tarot expert and just plain interesting soul, agreed to do a short interview with Rachel Gold and I for our International Women's Day KFAI show. More cool stuff in the works.
The snow is still falling and things are icy so I'm home wrestling with taxes, laundry, pizza crust and story revisions. This week's upcoming bits of fun include a full physical, which will be somewhat ghastly (fasting and low blood sugar = less fun than you'd think) and taking in Walking Shadow Theater Company's production of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow on Tuesday night. And actual writing, plus that Valentine's Day thing I've heard about.
