Collection of thoughts make a post
Jan. 25th, 2013 03:37 pmWe got the computer back just before my reading on Wednesday which means this weekend is now all about getting organized. And getting the manifold on my car fixed. By the end of the week, my new vision cobrrage should start, so then it's off to the eye doctor to replace the broken glasses. Then everything else. Whee,
The reading went well, in the sense of yay! Some people are here! Yay! I am glad to see the ones I know and some new faces! :-) Subtext is a nice little bookstore, but the acoustics are challenging. Worth checking out though - I've been to several readings there since they opened.
I also need to write a book blurb and a guest blog post at some point before 2/1. Plus some fiction.
For those of us who are not erstwhile GOHs at CONvergence, there's a new policy, the gist of which seems to be that we need to apply for slots. Not everyone will get compped, but we can apply for a reduced rate. Gotta admit, while I like the con well enough, I'm not inspired to jump through hoops. I understand they need to cut back but then, I do, too. It's not a big bookselling or business con for me, as a rule, so i'll have to think about it for a bit and decide if I want to "apply."
