no doubt next crazy job. Currently taking a break from packing up the kitchen so we can paint. For 2 years now we've been 'remodeling' the kitchen. That would be 2 years cooking all meals on a camp stove or toaster oven while stumbling over the giant microwave-in-the-box in my office and the stove in the living room. There have been little bursts of progress but nothing big until now. Wish us luck - we'll need it.

In other happy news - the story that was more or less accepted for the anthology that had no title or fixed publisher is now accepted for a real and forthcoming antho with an actual publisher. Yay! The story in question is "Just Another Girl on the Train" in "Dirty Girls," edited by Rachel Kramer Bussell, forthcoming from Seal Press in 2008. ;-)))

I also dutifully fired off a story during Broad Universe's mailing party last week and got back a "I mostly love it, can you make some small changes?" response from Farrago's Wainscot (http://www.farragoswainscot.com/about.html) an interesting webzine I ran across at WisCon. I'm pretty pleased since the story was originally written for a zine that appears to be no longer, and it can be a tad difficult to sell off feminist rants in the form of a series of vignettes.

Next up: Diversicon is only a week away. And me without any prep for my panels. Urgh. Well, that'll give me something to think about while hauling boxes.

I could probably, with very little encouragement, be persuaded to send you a copy once I'm done with revisions. If FW likes the changes, it still won't be out until next year. :-)
