Writer/editor/publisher Vera Nazarian is doing a Kickstarter for her new novel, Cobweb Bride. She always does such lovely work - I have high hopes for this book.
Innsmouth Free Press publisher Silvia Moreno-Garcia is doing an Indiegogo fundraiser for their new anthology, Sword and Mythos. And they're offering a handmade Cthulhu ukelele as one of the top prizes. How awesome is that?
This weekend and next, there are a substantial number of fundraisers and more fundraisers to fight the MN (Anti) Marriage Amendment. We're going to Writers United for All Families at the Carlyle Condos at 4PM today, and maybe something tomorrow. Check out the list (thank you, Marianne Combs!) to see if there's something that appeals to you: there's theater, music, comedy, cabarets, dinner and parties and all for a good cause.
And we're off to the Twin Cities Arts and Crafts Show this morning, as my migraine ebbs. This is William Morris-type arts and crafts, not macrame owls, for those wondering. There are always beautiful things at this show - highly recommended.
