My release reading with Jessie Chandler on Thursday was fabulous fun. Jessie writes comic mysteries set in the Twin Cites and we've read together before so we thought this might work out, and it did! We got about 30 people or so and a fair amount of crossover between the mystery folks and the fantasy folks.
We alternated sections of our respective books, which people seemed to like. Magers & Quinn sold out of "Silver Moon," which was very cool and made them want to have us back (we also bribed the staff with chocolate :-).

Today, I'm at 4th Street Fantasy listening to interesting discussions. My panel is tonight so I'm
looking forward to that as well.

And my back hurts much less than it did earlier in the week. The Thursday sick day of ice and cats enabled me to draft a guest blog post for next week, write a con program bio of Andre Norton for Diversicon, and make progress on my story for Lethe Press' queering Dracula. I also managed to do an early outline for "Blood Moon," the sequel to "Silver Moon." So feeling more on top of things, even tired and ouchy and no longer enjoying current day job project. Overall, good week.
