Accomplishments for the week...

such as they are:
1. Finished a story and got it out the door within the extended editorial deadline.
2. Did my first live job interview in about 10 months.
3. Possibly got job, possibly didn't, but at least made a good impression. I'm told they "loved" me, but we're not sure how much. Said job, at least in theory, offers more money, more opportunities, a better commute and the chance to work with people who seem to overtly enjoy their work. This would make it extremely novel for an IT job in my experience.
4. Heard back from cool publisher that book # 3 is a swell idea (not overly surprising, since it was his idea to begin with :-). More news as we get the details ironed out.
5. Did not strangle foolish colleagues when they managed to completely muck up essential data, thereby causing me to have to put in many additional hours identifying everything that had to be fixed as a result. Snarled alot, but drew line at actual physical violence. Go me!
6. Was not strangled by pleasant and wonderful friend when insanely late for lunch due to firm and thoroughly mistaken conviction that highways 169 and 494 were the same, which led to exciting tour of mazelike horror around Ridgedale Mall. What can I say? I had very little sleep and a bad headache. :-(((
7. Found hotel in Brooklyn for August. Now just need to make reservation.
8. Made many lists and paid lots of bills.
9. Just came back from Antiquarian Book Fair in St. Paul with various cool titles and dented budget. But worth it.
10. Oh yeah and Pride was fun too. :-)))
11. Next up - resting through the weekend until stress-related eyelid tic goes away and right arm stops screaming from all the extra work. Then will be all happy and chirpy (comparatively speaking) for Convergence next weekend.
