General huzzahs!
Apr. 14th, 2012 09:55 amWhy?
1. Well, the migraine I've had since Wednesday is now down to a headache. Which, after 3 days of dizziness, queasiness, light-sensitivity and day jobbery, is a GIANT improvement.
2. I have met werewolf fandom and they are some really nice folks. There is a new Werewolf Wednesday (check out Werewolf News for updates) event on Twitter and on related blogs and Silver Moon is going to be featured on Wednesday, 5/16 on Metal, Monsters and Mayhem (and how cool is that?), the werewolf blog of editor and author David Jon Fuller. Hannah Kate of the awesome She-Wolf blog and the She-Wolf Conference is taking a look at Silver Moon for possible review. Author, reviewer and werewolf aficionado Marie Carlson already has the book in her hands and has been tweeting regularly that she's enjoying it. :-D
3. I'm also working on a guest blog post for either the Skiffy and Fanty Show blog or Shaun Duke's other sfnal extravaganza, The World in the Satin Bag. Check out both, as they are awesome.
4. I'm also talking to other writers about guest-blogging so I seem to be having a blog tour. Let me know if you'd like me to stop by. I can natter on at length about all kinds of things, some of them even interesting to people not in my head.
5. Tomorrow (4/15), I'll be posting micro-excerpts from SIlver Moon on the #FeministSF Twitterchat (or follow using the #FeministSF hastag) which also feature excerpts from lots of talented writers, including Sunny Moraine, Cathy Pegau, J. Damask, Cat Valente and others. Should be fun.
Finally, just to share a cool thing I learned about this morning, via David Fuller - Luna Station Quarterly is a magazine focused on speculative fiction written by up and coming women authors. Apparently they've been around for about a year and the zine looks pretty cool - take a look, give them lots of love, donations and submissions.
Now for errands and the long-delayed making of lemon curd.
