And dear lovely indie authors, please do not barrage about the joys of indie publishing after reading the above. I think self-pub works extremely well for some people, much like trad publishing. But, frankly, unless you have an established name for fiction or celebrity of some sort, the results for nonformulaic fiction are not so compelling as to make me feel like attempting it at the current time.
In other news, Prop 8 is shambling back from the dead, Occupy is bring targetted as is the freedom of speech on the internets and I've had to pack my own air purifier into work. Thr oxygen is lovely, the rest is not.
