Tiptree nominee and writing miscellany
Nov. 8th, 2011 08:28 pmA Day at the Inn, A Night at the Palace and Other Stories is now up at the Tiptree Award nomination page so it feels very official and such. What with all the awards it and Hellebore are up for this year (Lambdas, the Goldies, the Spectrums, and the IPPYs) my little brain is all awhirl. I'm hoping they both win something because how can I not? :-)
In other writing news, I actually did some. I finished, on an extension and with great forbearance from the editor, a short story to submit for the anthology Femmes Fatales called "The Further Adventures of Miss Scarlett." I also submitted my story "At Mother Laurie's House of Bliss" for Wilde Stories 2012. And I cleared 15k words on my new cyberpunkish erotic novel in progress and started a sequel to Silver Moon. We're still sorting out schedules but Silver Moon is, barring changes, due out in 2012 from Lethe Press. My story "The Eqyptian Cat" with be in Lethe Press' forthcoming Best Lesbian SF and F (not sure of exact current title).
But it'll be mostly overtime and guest blogging and such until the end of the year, I think, though I'm hoping to carve out more writing time.
Wish me luck on that.
