Catch-up post
Feb. 23rd, 2020 07:26 pmThough I'm not sure what I'm catching up to, exactly. 13 Gears was good fun and my Not-So-Silent Planet reading went well. I spent the later part of the week being mildly sick, but nothing serious. Lots of exciting publishing news though!
- I had my usual delightful monthly breakfast with Caroline Stevermer and learned that I am thanked in the acknowledgments of her new book, which is up for preorder now! The Glass Magician will be out in April.
- Speaking of April, Queen of Swords Press (me) will be releasing The Voyages of Cinrak the Dapper by A.J. Fitzwater and it's getting some lovely early reviews, including this one in Publishers Weekly. Preorder is up for the ebook edition, print is gradually making its way out into the world (Amazon, B&N)
- Continuing my year of Sherlockiana, my story, “The Adventure of the Missing Fiancé,” is now forthcoming in 2021 in The Book of Extraordinary Sherlock Holmes Stories” edited by Maxim Jakubowski from Mango Books. It's a Sherlock Holmes and Mrs. Hudson mystery that follows up where "The Adventure of the Copper Beeches" leaves off. Super excited about this one!
- More Sherlockiana! “The Rani’s Dream,” is forthcoming this year in Sherlock Holmes and the Occult Detectives edited by John Linwood Grant from Belanger Books. The Kickstarter goes live on 2/24!
- I just recorded an interview with author Heather Jones for her LHMPodcast today. Link to that posted when it's available; in the meantime, check out the other great episodes and interviews.
