On tour, next round..

Off to Dallas for A-Kon today. I appear to have sprouted another panel somewhere along the line, one on advice and cautionary tales on vanity presses and such, plus everything previously mentioned. And possibly a sort of authorial speed-dating brunch on Sunday morning in which guests sit at a table with fans for a bit, then switch tables whenever time is called. I've never done this much programming at a con before and am slightly concerned about staying "on" for this long (10+ panels, readings and such). So far, I'm holding up pretty well (as in: not in a migraine stupor or otherwise ill), considering I've done a reading and WisCon in the last week and a half, plus crazy stressful day jobbery.
As it turns out, I have the luggage of awesomeness and was able to get the Outfit into it (once I gave up the boots) so I'll get to wear it at some point in the con. It looked like the laws of physics were against me on that for a bit yesterday. :-)
I'm taking my netbook so I'll be posting periodically over the course of the weekend, energy permitting. Now off to go get organized and play with kitties.
