I don't think I have much to say regarding Oslo that hasn't been said elsewhere. My thoughts and sympathies go out to the Norwegian people in this time of devastating horror.

It's been a relatively quiet weekend here. We made it to Harry Potter on Friday and enjoyed it. I'm not a huge fan of the books post-Prisoner of Azkaban but  think that most of the films are worth watching. It was nice to see Neville Longbottom come into his own as well as Professor McGonagall being Maggie Smith, though as usual I can't say I love the portrayal of the female characters in the Potterverse.

Apart from that, Saturday was spent doing things like having brunch with friends at the unfortunately still overrated Heartland in St. Paul, during which time I acquired an expensive and bogus parking ticket that I don't have time to contest. Sigh. Then it was home to deal with the basement water problems (turned out the dehumidifier was overflowing and the hose had gotten redirected at some point) and fridge water issues. The latter may be due to a blocked tube brought on by the recent ludicrous humidity so I did a full scrub out and turn off over night of the fridge. This coincided with a much needed overhaul of the office closet so we were both exhausted by the time we hit bed. Here's hoping this fixed the fridge problem. Today, it's odds and ends and working on the new collection, which is plugging along.

One piece of good news from yesterday: Hellebore and Rue is  nominated for the American Library Association's Over The Rainbow Summer Reading for Adults
List for 2011. Fingers crossed on this one since having more libraries pick up this anthology would be an awesome thing.

Looming larger on the horizon at the end of the week:
Diversicon, July 29-31 at Bandanna Square in St. Paul. I'll be signing books and doing a couple of panels. I'll post the final schedule as soon as I have it.
