New year not off to a great start

Jana's dad called first thing this morning - her mom's been hospitalized again. It sounds like she may have had a stroke but they're not sure yet. She's severely diabetic and her blood sugar's been going way up over the last few days. We're spending the day hoping for the best and waiting on calls.

New story out

My fantasy story "Spell, Book and Candle" was just released in Vol. 3, No. 3 of "Khimairal Ink" at Khimairal Ink.

This would be the bright spot of the day thus far. Sigh.
