Disregarding the minor detail that they've been hosting it for some 4 years. Now, when you look up anything where I've linked to Photobucket for my cover Crave: Tales of Lust, Love and Longing (Lethe Press, 2007), you get this:

Here is the shocking, shocking book cover that you must be protected from:

I know, pretty racy. Stomach kissing corrupts the mind, or so I hear. The cover painting in question is by artist Lorraine Inzalaco who does indeed paint some nicely racy nudes and horror of horrors, cater to the lesbian gaze. Personally, I like this cover quite a bit.
Crave was my first collection for Lethe Press. It won a 2008 Goldie Award for Lesbian Erotica, a Lesbian Reader's Choice Award the same year and picked up a Gaylactic Spectrum Award Short Fiction finalist nod for my cyberpunk erotic story "Medusa's Touch." I wrote most of the stories specifically for the book, as opposed to relying on reprints, and one of those new stories, "Spoonbridge and Cherry" was selected for Best Lesbian Erotica 2008. That story was also selected for an international Best of antho for which it was translated into Italian. It is also the only erotica that I know of set in the Walker's sculpture garden. The rest of the stories run the gamut from fantasy through cyberpunk, spy capers and activists to mild erotic horror. In short, I put a lot of work and love into this book and it really burns me up that the cover is now deleted anywhere that I had to use Photobucket to get readily usable graphics code. Can I work around it? Yes, eventually. Should I have to? In my opinion, no. I don't think this one frightens the horses and this is extra work for me that I shouldn't need to do. So, looking for a Photobucket replacement now and open to suggestions. If you're an erotic or erotic romance writer using them to repost your covers, I'd recommend double-checking. I didn't find this out from them so they don't bother to tell you they've invalidated your links.
If you would like to view and/or acquire the shocking little book with its scary, scary cover and no doubt scandalous contents, it can purchased at the following (or ordered in almost anywhere else): True Colors Bookstore, DreamHaven Books, Art and Comics, A Room of One's Own Bookstore, Giovanni's Room, any bookstore on the IndieBound network, as an ebook at All Romance Ebooks, in Kindle and print at Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble (print only) and I'm told there'll be 2 copies for sale (50% off!) at the Broad Universe table at Readercon. Here's hoping that any unexpected viewings don't drive you to do anything to violate Photobucket's terms of service.
