On the heels of Haunted Hearths and Sapphic Shades Gaylactic Spectrum Award good news, Steve B. at Lethe felt that a redesign of the cover was in order. I love the original cover painting (and bought it from the artist) but it did not reproduce very well at the icon size. In addition, HH has finalled for several awards now and gotten some great review so the new cover addresses some of the changes. Here's the new front cover, which I'm really pleased with:

In other news, Hellebore and Rue: Tales of Queer Women and Magic has been accepted as a nominee for the 2011 Rainbow Awards. These are juried rather than popular vote, but please send us good wishes. it's a great little book and I really want to see it get its due.
Finally, I'm adding two new events in June, apart from Capitol City Pride in Des Moines. One is the Broad Universe Broadly Speaking Podcast Pride Month group discussion with Cecilia Tan, Elissa Malcohn, Racheline Maltese, JoSelle Vanderhooft and host Trisha Woolridge on June 7th. The other is this piece of awesomeness on June 4th at the Walker Art Center. I'll be one of the authors participating in the campfire readings at "Nightshift," Rain Taxi Review of Books all night extravaganza. I'll post my timeslot once I know what it is, but this should be a blast, particularly if you're a night owl.
