Then it's on to a fun-filled convention weekend filled with friends old (from college, even!) and new. I expect it to be a blast and hope that lots of folks can join us.
In other news, I've rejoined SFWA as an active member after several years hiatus. I'm back for several reasons, ranging from improvements under new management, a change in focus of the organization to promoting the work of the membership, and realpolitik, as in I'd like to sell more books. I'm cautiously optimistic that the org has grown up a bit in the last few years.
Other than that, I'm planning for WisCon, then Des Moines Pride two weeks after that. I may be doing another event in the middle, but haven't heard back yet. I'm at about 5000 words on the title story for the new collection and am hoping to get a draft done before Gaylaxicon.
