Jan. 25th, 2007 08:32 pmHad annual review today with hyperactive, Type A manager. It didn't go badly but there's something about wrestling my way through "since I'm now indispensible, you need to pay me more money" type conversations that are really draining. That and I seem to be everyone's therapist all of a sudden.
Urk. Looking forward to the weekend and the Klezmatics.

Date: 2007-01-27 01:18 am (UTC)The problem is that the company I work for tends to be weirdly dysfunctional and co-dependent and it speaks to the parts of my hyperactive weasel brain that even therapy couldn't root out. Short version: it's hard to disentangle myself but $ will give me a good excuse if I need one.

Date: 2007-01-26 08:42 pm (UTC)Trying to imagine a world in which a manager would just say, "You really rocked last year, here's your pile of money!" (Perhaps together – the Mak’tar chant of strength: Larak tarath. Larak tarath.)
