When practicality is thrown to winds...
Jan. 2nd, 2010 05:13 pmThese happened to me today, in the course of shopping for actual necessities: www.beautifeelshop.com/ProductDetails.asp
They were on sale at Schuler's in Har Mar so this not what I paid for them. They will undoubtedly be hard on my bad knee, but I already love them with an unnatural passion.
However, they are boots that cry out for an OUTFIT. I can assemble things from the flotsam and jetsam of my wardrobe, yes, but these seem to require steampunk. I might be able to go the custom route but not easily and not at the moment and I can't sew much beyond a button or seam. Thus I need recommendations for interesting steampunky clothing in large women's sizes (20-22 U.S). I did manage to get glorious Spanx tights on sale today as well - www.spanx.com/product/index.jsp and jewelry's all covered. Thoughts on skirts, jackets, etc.?
