Scorpion lollipops

Blueberry-flavored ones, filled with genuine scorpion goodness. They showed up in a gift package from my mom, along with some pound stirling left over from earlier trips to England, New York Stock Exchange architectural design earrings and a replica Tang dynasty horse statue. Just in case you wondered where I get it from.

That is SO Alice! Er, what are the scorpions made of? It says "edible" in the description on the website - is it really truly genuine scorpion goodness, or a facsimile thereof?

It is, isn't it? :-)
They appear to be genuine dried scorpions, though I'll admit we're too grossed out to eat our way in to find out.

Low key but quite pleasant -- I received an unexpected bottle of cognac from my landlady, followed by a container with two portions of homemade spinach lasagna, offered when I went downstairs to deliver my gift bag of homemade holiday cookies while she was cooking the lasagna. Nothing quite as enticing as a scorpion lolly, though :-)

We did the stay home with new kitties, make quiche and watch weirdly matched videos version. Quite pleasant, other than the endless snow shoveling.

Yes they are real scorpions, our local museum store had them and I bought some and my son ate them!
