Signal boostage for Vera and oddments

Vera Nazarian over at Norilana Books is getting jerked around by "good" old Bank of America and is once again in danger of losing her home. You can read the entire post over here. Vera is an excellent writer and publishes some terrific books; right now, she really needs to sell a bunch of them. She's plugging Mansfield Park and Mummies, which I will be ordering today, but there's a wealth of other good stuff in the Norilana catalogue. I'm loving the Lace and Blade books and am looking forward to reading Clockwork Phoenix as well. You got holiday shopping to do anyway - send a good book or two.

Other fun stuff for Twin Cities locals:
The 17th Minneapolis Women's Art Festival - December 12th, Midtown YWCA. Lots of cool and fun stuff to be had, almost all of it locally made.

Minneapolis Art and Soul Holday Sale - December 12th, Van Buren Building, right around the corner from the Project for Pride in Living Warehouse Shop. Local artists and fairtrade goods.

BandLu, local clothiers to women of substance is having a warehouse sale - all sale items marked down to $3. Also December 12th, this time in St. Paul. Edgcumbe Recreation Center, 320 Griggs Street South.

I got a postcare re the Minneapolis Art & Soul Sale...Alsadu (a Fair Trade importer of jewelry/clothing/scarves, etc) is going to be there, as well. I'm thinking of going to that one if I find the time. They have way cool stuff and I've bought some terrific jewelry from them before.
