The week, a mixed bag thus far

Monday kicked off with horrible news from a friend, of the variety that one cannot do much about except make anguished sympathetic noises. Followed by not so much fun at work - the not so passive aggression, we loves it. And from there, crud, headaches and general ouchiness

But today, we have the beginnings of better things. The tally so far: one contract extension (mine), one Minnesota Book Artist of the Year Finalist (Jana) and a potential new project in the offing. Feeling cautiously optimistic.

It hasn't so far, but thanks! I did send money to the fundraiser you were boosting, BTW. Just haven't been home to boost myself. I hope it works out for her and thanks for spreading the word.

Oh, thank you for doing that. I hear that she's apparently gotten over $2000 and has worked out a plan to pay one half with a check dated today and another with a postdated check, so she can actually have a few more days to scrape together the last few hundred dollars she needs. So she won't be homeless! Yay!
