Last night featured the following:
1. One parental meltdown (mine), non-wedding related. I think it's resolved and was mostly brought on by lack of sleep.
2. One surprise card and gift from Jana's hardcore LDS Utah-dwelling parents (mentioning, but not addressed to me). In previous episodes, Dad was not condoning our sinful relationship, in so many words. Mom apparently likes a good wedding and has prevailed, since we're pretty sure it's her doing. At any rate, they were quite generous and Jana is feeling better so that's all good. I'm pleased that they made it this far, honestly. I figured they were going to blow this off, and it's nice to be wrong about that sort of thing at least once in a while.

Tonight:
1. Went over our officiant's ritual. Discovered that notes had gotten crossed and the long sappy poem was in, while the 2 good (Le Guin and Barrett Browning) poems had gotten missed. X'ed sappy poem and all religious references, as well as anything that made us crack up. He actually did a lovely job with it - we're just fussy.
My suggestion that we do the wedding scene from The Princess Bride was firmly vetoed by my beloved, as in "You'll be getting yourself a new bride." Sigh. Such are the perils of marrying a nongeek.
2. Now responding to emails prior to pulling out dress and seeing what wants ironing and whether or not I have to go purchase new stockings.

Er...probably not? Completely spaced that one but guessing someone else may remember. I thought we were doing well to pack the license. :-)

There's something wrong with cracking up in the middle of the ritual? Oops.

I tend to be the giddy one who'd fall over, so it's probably best avoided. :-)
