Refrescos, finally

It's a zillion degrees here comparatively speaking, for Minnesota in September, and it has been one of those days in which my body has declared war on me. But it is evening now and I'm all medicated and there is a lovely banana refresco on the desk beside me - things are looking up.
Refrescos, if you haven't had the pleasure, are fabulous often nondairy/fruit milkshakes commonly consumed in various Central American countries. I used to get these from street vendors in Managua when I was living down there.
The basics - fresh fruit (banana, strawberries, mangoes and/or pineapple are best), ice, noncow milk (I'm using hazelnut tonight - almond, rice, soy and other substitutes will work just fine) and a tablespoon of sugar. Put it in the blender and bask in the results.
And I just figured out what was wrong with the story I'm working on. Bliss, after a fashion.
