Lively weekend and beyond

Friday, I attended a fabulous reading by local authors Haddayr Copely-Woods, David Schwartz, Will Alexander and Dena Landon Stoll at DreamHaven. It was a fine, fine show and I'm eagerly waiting to find out how all of the stories turn out. :-)
Saturday was cleaning, followed by having folks over for dinner and more of True Blood - only two more eps to go so no spoilers.
Sunday was a reading by author Laurell Mills at True Colors Bookstore followed by a farewell party for local powerhouse writing instructor and author Lori Lake. Lori's off to new and exciting adventures in Portland but I'll miss our periodic chats. Good thing there's the blazing fast interwebs.
From thence, it was home for a species of nap and dinner, followed by an expedition to go see the Lionness. Jana contributed one of her gorgeous hidden boxes, cunningly disguised as a book, and there was tea and jollity.
Somewhere along the line, I also managed 1000 + words of pirate story, which is cruising along at a brisk pace. Good thing, seeing as it's due in a bit over a week.
For some reason, I'm also having work anxiety dreams so ludicrous, I'm waking up giggling. My fav so for - the one involving my car being booted in the parking garage while I keep misplacing nonessential items of clothing. It's nice that my subconscious is having so much fun.
