By all and sundry.
- One reprint accepted, though it was supposed to have been the new story I wrote for this particular market a few months back. That submission was too fantasy for the anthology, alas, and so we brought up one of the oldies but apparently still goodies. It has been an odd year for me in that respect. I didn't write much last year because I was busy editing the anthology, then promoting the anthology, then working on my novel and class proposals and grant proposals, etc., etc., so now I'm in this weird place where the (pool of) new stories aren't selling but the reprints are doing quite well. This is my 3rd resale this year. Guess I'll just have to write more and see what happens with those.
- Lots of canning - we have a LOT of pickles now. Apparently the concept of a "small batch" is not universal.
- A fair number of the odds and ends that I need to get done before I next embrace gainful employment are underway. Hoping to dent the rest today. Still to go - write up review of friend's book, finish reading other friend's book and review that, see how much actual writing I can get done, talk to guy in Iowa about book he's writing about Iowa bookstores, finish answering other friend's mini-interview for his book, plus job related paperwork and so forth. I miss having weekends.
- Unrelated cool event - stopped by my favorite local fair trade clothing store (Coat of Many Colors, for those inclined to care) and in the course of chatting up the amiable store employee, discovered that she is a fan of Haunted Hearths. V. pleased. :-D
- Most of the initial invites done and sent, though we expect to keep adding on.
- Meeting with our officiant about our vows tomorrow.
- laurieopal says our rings our ready. Squee! :-D
